As we celebrate Lobster Season in Key West, we want to share the top lobster foodie finds and the answer to where can I find the best lobster roll in paradise? The good news here is you don’t have to go far to find the best-tasting lobster rolls. Join us as we visit Southernmost Beach Cafe, our neighbors at the Lobster Shack, DJ’s Clam Shack on Duval Street, and Garbo’s Grill on Caroline. These four unique eateries will transport your taste buds to a new “lobstar” experience.

Located across the street from our Key West Beach Resort is where you’ll find The Lobster Shack. It’s really not a “shack,” but it is a small casual restaurant dedicated to lobster. On the menu, you’ll find many different versions of lobster rolls; there’s a Traditional New England, Key West, the Diablo, an excellent lobster BLT, and seafood bisque. Lobster is the main ingredient, and when serving up the best tail in town, Lobster Shack knows how to do so!
We went to multiple high-end seafood restaurants during our Key West trip, and nothing even came close to being as good as The Lobster Shack. The lobster was so fresh and LOADED into the buttery, toasty bun. You won’t blink at the price tag when you see how much lobster is packed into these babies. You don’t have to go far to enjoy the best Maine Lobster Roll with a view because it steps away from our resort on South Beach at Southernmost Beach Cafe. On the lunch menu is a Maine Lobster Roll: Maine Lobster Tail, Key Lime Dressed on a New England Roll. It’s an island twist on your favorite seafood dish.
We added the lobster roll to our menu because it’s our GM’s favorite. Come by and give it a try, we’re sure it will become one of your favorites too.

Don’t let the name fool you, yes, DJ’s clam shack has excellent clams and seafood, but the show’s star is the overstuffed Maine lobster roll. A super delicious experience with an abundance of lobster.

A cool spot for live music and one of the best New England lobster rolls you’ll find is at Garbos Grill, an airstream-type trailer behind Hank’s Hair Of The Dog Saloon on Caroline Street.
